  1. Hi there, I recently had my clutch system overhauled and it was pretty worn.My tame enginer stripped it down completey (he made a puller to put it back together) then he turned the plates over as they have 4 holes the original 2 were too worn to use, then put in new clips and springs, problem solved. Once you have made a puller you have the tool always. A lot cheaper than just replacing the clutch Trust of use. Hadders
  2. Hi Guys, I have a Solo 210 but it came with no battery. However it starts first pull everytime on the hand starter. The problem is that the electric starter needs a lot of ooph to make it work. I now know I should have 16.8v old manual said 14 x 1.2 cell + 16.8v no wonder my 12v batteries would not start the engine. I know the stater works because when I first had the engine I jumped started from my car with the engine running to test it. I have also made a 24 volt system from 2 x 12 v to test it and that works. I also tried my 18 v drill pack that fired once on a warm day but not a cold day. I see a few references to the light weight motercycle batteries but they seem to be 12v not the 16.8v I have seem required in the manual. Can someone kindly guide me this matter. Thanks Hadders
  3. Guys Thanks for replies but as per original message I have a good spark and checked with with plug out. Both manuual and withe ES The engine turns over very quickly on electric start but will not run If I use pull start it fires straight away, therefore not a fuel issue. Therefore the engine is good, I have a good spark, and a strong fresh battrery to test (2) can anyone shed any light on this anomoly. Thanks Hadders
  4. Hi Guys, Just a newbie with a new engine. Yesterday tried starting a Solo 210 until the electric starter went flat. ( great spark new plug) Now recharged battery so checked spark very good so this time started the engine with the pull start. Once warm will start first pull. HOWEVER the engine will not start with the elctric starter. I have tried two fully charged batteries one from my microlight and heavier engine electric start. Great spark but no fire! Any ideas Engine not flown just still running in. Thanks David
  5. Hi Guys, Been thinking aboout Paramoters for a while but been too busy with other flying. I am an experienced microlight pilot both three axis and weightshift and have flown all over europe in cross countries and in championships. Just recently acquired from a friend a brand new paramoter I believe it is a PA 1100AS with a solo 210 engine, it still has not been run in. As a begineer and ex flying instructor I recognise the need for proper training Is there anybody in Kent who I can talk too and obviously Simons name in Lambourn appears quite reguarly. I had a couple of days training in Sussex a few years ago on a paraglider to get some idea which was great fun. One thing that put me off is that I am only 60KG but the above kit looks about right. To start with I would like a fairly docile wing but one that can do cross country flights in, albeit in calmer conditions until experience has been built up. Look forward to some answers tel number 01227 700441 Thanks Hadders, Canterbury
