  1. Hello guys! Apparently I'm the bad boy ruining everyones day by flying through controlled airspace. It was a fantastic trip, much appreciated by 47Sqn arriving at their new base. As far as I know nobody was hurt and the C17 captain was, if anything, amazed what supercool flying machines we operate. My clearance to cross the runway in Brize was "not above 500 ft for traffic separation". It took me 2:10 hours, covering 95 km total distance, to do the CTA crossing and a nice XC around class D, along Kidlington airport, Oxford and Abingdon back to my departure field near Challow. If you were trying to find me for advice on how to use proper radio equipment and knowledge - well, I'm slightly put off by the Gestapo tone in your first postings. Judging by your attitude to other fliers mistakes you seem to be superhumans and know all and everything anyway. Why don't you do us a favour and stop giving our sport a bad name by sensationally hunting the stray wrongdoer to "give him advice"? Who the devil are you? The paramotor Stasi? Many happy landings to you all!
  2. Has anyone ever experienced it whilst PPGing? ---------------YES If you did what were the symptoms you experienced. ----------------- gradually increasing loss of power, followed by spluttering engine What did you do about it? --------------------------- went to higher throttle to keep the engine running, started spiraling lower to increase air temp, simultaneously choosing my safe landing field How long did it take to clear?---------------------------- made it low level back to my home field - just; after landing the carbs outside was 1cm thick covered in ice, there were ice remains in the fuel chamber (Walbro carb) Did it return?------------------------------------------ only twice, try to avoid the combination of low temps and small spread (see meteorology) CU, Gunnar
  3. Hello everyone, normally not a big fan of online forums, I have to speak up now. This guy is frequently flying that area - shocking! He was flying on the 02. and 16.June, 02.Juli and he is probably the one flying that beautiful Dudek blue white orange wing seen on 27.Sep (seemed quite big; might even be the Cabrio tandem wing). He is always operating inside Lyneham controlled airspace - shouldn't the tower know? Any more sightings? Cheers!
