  1. You're right Simon - that does make one hell of a compelling recruitment pitch ! Andy
  2. Spigot - that's not a flying machine, it's a tecno-hoax. I have been following Mollers research with interest for nearly 20 years, but they seem no nearer to obtaining FAA flight certification. Meanwhile the 'X-Prize' competition has been dreamt up, held AND won ! Now that's a Skycar Andy
  3. Lockheed F-117 (Stealth) A few US tax $$$ in this pic: even more here: 22 Lockheed F-117's in a row
  4. Grumman F-14 Tomcat Cue the TopGun track.... Andy
  5. Nice one Dave ! Bloody scary what they can do with tech nowadays - but nice one Sorry that you can't be there on the 19th after all. Cheers, Andy
  6. A great clip Alan !It's a tough job that guy has - but somebody's got to do it. Unfortunately not us... Andy
  7. Awesome pic - understated as always Simon
  8. So if no objections onto Flying Machines... A = the mighty Antonov 225 Andy
  9. Yellow peril - Colins Adventure A3
  10. Awesome Jock - that must have been a blast Please tell us more. Was it a charity thing? Did you all get in the air and fly in formation or something ? Or was it so cold, you just had a quick flight and then headed for the nearest pub Andy
  11. Wankel - no comment on this game, rather the Parajet Rotron Can I also suggest that the next topic is "Flying Machines" etc.... Andy
  12. Clutching at straws here.... Quick release ?
  13. Hi TJ - sorry to hear you can't see any of the videos. So a couple of questions, to help get us started in the right direction: (1) What PC do you have? How old is it, and what Operating System are you running? (2) Are you able to go on to the http://www.YouTube.com site, and view any of their video clips ? (3) Have you managed to watch video clips from any other source on this same computer? If your PC is fairly new, and the answers to both (2) and (3) is yes, I will PM you some additional questions and suggestions. Cheers, Andy
  14. Good to see that you guys managed to get in a couple of flights today Eddie, and test out your prop.Nice pics - but a hell of a lot of water still down there on terra ferma. But suppose would make any emergency landing a bit softer Talking of soft landings in mud, I haven't seen Phil_P around for a while Does anyone know if he was due to get his new (bionic) hip fitted before Xmas ? Andy
  15. Cool bit of kit Simon - taking panos to the next level But no wonder some of the folks were giving the bloke some odd looks, as it looks like something out of the Daleks Andy
  16. NB: These are not my own video clips. They are just some of my favourites found whilst doing my newbie research into PPG. Almost ran out of time to submit a video this weekend - sorry, too many project deadlines Anyway this is only a very short clip - but what a place to fly! Great quality video of flight over the famous cliff top monasteries in Meteora, Greece. (As always right click on video to view YouTube in larger wide format & HQ) [youtubevideo] [/youtubevideo]Andy
  17. Great clip Alan Really neat small trike, which lifts off surprisingly quickly. There again it didn't look like she weighed much. Just wish I could say the same. You are right, the takeoffs were smooth, but I was more impressed with how soft the landings were - bearing in mind the trike has no shock absorption compared to legs. 38 flights in a month I suppose it helps living in Florida and having a husband who is a PPG instructor I suppose. But not so sure about them letting their Daschund roam so free, as it almost got wiped out on landing at 3m20s. Have always like the idea of a larger trike, to share flying experience with family members and friends. Just a shame that it is more regulated over here. Andy
  18. Zona incerta (grey brain cells in the subthalamus below the thalamus) And over to you Pete B... (not that I was in a rush to get off body parts)
