  1. If by music you mean storing then yes by all means go for the pro but to be honest a good spec MacBook and spend the rest on ancilaries ie if you have use of an external monitor then a wireless keyboard and mouse and the cables are good to get with the spare cash. I run a 2 year MacBook with Photoshop no issue, cubase with multiple vst's including ableton rewired in all while running dual monitor and 2 midi controllers all without issue. I also have windows 7 running under bootcamp and it's better than and pc. Don't get me wrong the pro's are the bees knees but if to are an average user without any heavy 64 bit pro programs ie final cut or logic studio ect then a MacBook and a few goodies might be a better option. Just another point of view!
  2. Thanks Wodens, Had a reply from fresh breeze also and they are contacting the dulv for me so between all that i should get the answers i need thanks guys Jono
  3. Nope, RAF! Survival Equipment, attached to Air Corps.
  4. Hi guys, Had a search and can't find what i am looking for so here goes. I am faced with the possibility of moving to Germany with work for 3 years and and trying to find out what I need to fly there license wise etc, and what the rules are there. Any help or links to help greatly appreciated Jono
  5. No probs guys Was a good day but very cold, wet and muddy! All kit is dry and ready to fly again. Did anyone go today?
  6. Ok so i am going to go down about 10ish and setup and run the motor ect as it's not been fired up for a bit and all being well we should be over shabbington with full tanks for about 11:30 /12ish. If you guys are in the air or look ready we wont land we will just wait in the area to go fly somewhere. If we get there and it's a bit to windy then i am only going to hang around till about 1 if it gets no better then i am off home and i will try again Sunday. That's my plan so far Jono
  7. Not far just from the other side of the golf course, will be 2 of us so gonna do a short hop over from there and see what everyone else is up to
  8. Anyone thinking about flying this weekend? First reports on weather look good! If it is i will prob do a fly in from the field i use as another friend is meeting me there.
  9. Great to meet you guys again and good to go flying Looks like i need to take the camera up next time! If anyone is going during the week give me a shout as i am on nights so can fly till about 2ish!
  10. Just thought i would say hi and thanks again to Simon, his mate (sorry forget his name ) & Tom for your help on Sat. Much appreciated, hopefully next time i fly in i will be able to fly out again!! But hey, at least it got me to the field and not just half way to nowhere! Anyway thanks again and if you are out at the site anytime send me a text and if poss i will fly over for a chat. John.
  11. As above! Anyone know if this is suitable for use with the memory maps?
  12. OOOP's Now i feel like a true idiot! That'll teach me for not paying attention! Just when i seen the wing colour i thought, oh i better let them know it's not me before i get spotted in the area! Sorry for jumping in! John. Eddie, Thanks for the offer i would be up for that, could mabey fly up to your site one day from our place to meet you, or just come to you guys for a chat and a flight! Thanks again, John.
  13. Just out of interest, i fly a blue and yellow wing around that area. HOWEVER, I can assure you that I have NEVER flown over any village or other built up area, especialy at that hieght. The ONLY time I will fly at that altitude is on climb out or landing. I have also only ever flown from there twice! Also on Sat i was not flying that wing, i was on an all blue wing. The reason for my post is just really to say i am pretty sure you were not refering to me however just incase i get spotted and "tracked down" for a word, I just wanted to let you know I am not stupid, reckless or careless when flying. A better idea of the location of the spot or the name of the village flown over would probably help also. Sorry if this post comes across as snappy or with a bad attitude that is not my intent, i can just see someone spotting me one day and assuming i am an idiot! Regards John.
  14. Hi, Just wondered if anyone was flying and were from this evening? If you are do you mind if i tag along?
  15. Hi guys, Just incase anyone is wondering about this field mentioned at the above co-ordinates, the owner will not allow flying from there as he only has grazing rights to the field, and receives nasty letters from the council if he lets anything else happen there! Just thought i would let you all know so you don't get into any bother Jono
