  1. Hi I'm in the process of getting my self a new PPG wing. It seems like Kobra is working on a new wing "Twix" (I know because of the hint in their website) Will you please let me know a little bit about this new wing? The reason I'm interested in Kobra (ITV) wing is because it looks awesome I know it sounds very shallow but I had enough of all these boring colors and patterns in other gliders.
  2. PG wings are easier to launch in nil wind than PPG wings Light weight "mountain" gliders are lighter than normal PG wings and even easier to inflate in nil wind. However there is a downside to that, usually light weight gliders are not as durable as normal PG or PPG gliders. The whole reason that you're seeing Dell challenging PPG wings to come to high altitude and nil wind is because he's flying with a mountain glider which is 10 times easier to lunch but it will last less than other gliders.
  3. I've been flying with the small and medium size Apco-Force It all depends on your skill level not the area of the glider Ozone Viper2 comes in size 20m2 and it is not for 40kg pilots, it is for advanced pilots who know how to manage the wing above their head. If you are a new pilot or intermediate I strongly suggest to go for size medium not large. It will be easier to inflate the glider and wing will behave much better when it's loaded. I have been flying the size medium in strong thermic condition with +140kg all up and it was amazing. If you are an experienced pilot go for the small as it is so much fun. The high G on the spirals will push your neck back into your body. Note 1: I don't get paid by Apco for my posts and I don't even own one. Note 2: You need plenty of thrust from your paramotor for these toys, make sure you have enough thrust before you choose your wing See you up there
  4. We're having a similar case here in Western Australia One of the pilots have replaced his carbi`s fuel lines and he start to see these bubbles in his fuel line Shortly after that he seized his simonini mini 2 plus engine and here are some photos of it Notes; 1- He didn't change his carbi setting in the last 30 hours 2- He didn't change his fuel mix 3- He didn't change his oil ---------------------------------------------------- He's thinking that the new fuel lines are a bit larger and they're not as tight as they were from the manufacturer and air can get sucked into it and that's the reason for the bubble It makes sense as your engine is using the fuel to cool it self and by putting more air in the mix, you are leaning down the mix and over heating the engine. You probably have a tiny hole in your fuel line which creates those bubbles and sucking the air in as you fly Let us know about the result Cheers Idiot
  5. I have a Kobra Rocco and I've been flying with it over 150 hours It have the same harness as Rocco Super It is a comfortable low hang point harness and weight shift actually works on it and because of the electric start it is easy to shut it down and restart in the air. If you have a tandem wing you can launch solo with it and shut the engine down for thermalling With your solo wing you will be too much above the weight range of the glider to do that. See you up there Alex
  6. I had the chance to demo the small and medium Force To make the long story short; 1) Takeoff and ground handling is effortless, no A riser or input required, just step back and the glider is up 2) You need to run a bid faster for takeoff as you have to do this for any fast wing 3) Your landing speed is like a DHV1 glider 4) Glider is very stable above your head and I haven't experienced any collapses so far 5) It is fast and you can feel the high G on deep spirals 6) The only downside is that the very top lines are sewed into the canopy and if you damage a line on the top, you should send the glider for surgery (it is not that important cause it's not that costly) Note: I'm not a reseller and I don't even own one but I'm very impressed by this glider I was flying @ 140kg (Top range of the small) and both small and medium were performing good, I would go for small as I like some small Acro maneuvers See you up there Alex
  7. Hi Andrew We've been flying here in Perth with Aspen 3 (EN C) with 10-15 kg above the weight range of the glider. Here is the video; [youtubevideo] [/youtubevideo]If you're flying above the glider's weight range talk to your local repair person or dealer as you might require to replace the center A,B & C lines with thicker lines. If you're flying within the weight range of your glider there is no problem for thermalling (assuming your paramotor is low hang point unit which gives you the weight shift option) Most of us are flying above the weight range of our wings and that's why it's harder to climb (just like an Acro wing) BTW welcome to the dark side
  8. Hi everyone I've started this post while I was searching for a unit and now I think it is fair to let you know about the result; Me and 2 of my friends purchased 3 similar units to save money. We purchased 3 Kobra Roccos and now after 80 hours on this unit I can tell that I couldn't be happier. Kobra Rocco is crazy strong, very quiet and very reliable. Because of the strong unit we're flying on a low RPM and that makes the fuel consumption very efficient (~4:00 +- 0:30 hours / 14 litters) Whenever I have a question I'm getting my respond from Kobra in less than a day. Price was the cheapest we could get for this much power (Simonini mini2 plus engine) and combination of electric & pull start is very convenient. Note: I'm not a reseller and I do not have any connection with the Kobra's resellers. My opinion is simply based on the quality of this product and I think if I'm getting a good service from a manufacturer I should show my appreciation to motivate them for their good job. 9. Thanks everyone for your advises. I've been turning counterclockwise but I can't maintain the altitude like the videos on Youtube and I'm descending so I thought maybe I should change the direction but the exit is gonna be extremely hard if I turn clockwise. My wing overs are deep and with good outside brake to control the pressure. SIV and Acro course is not that accessible in Western Australia or even in Australia for that matter. Cheers Idiot (Alex)
  10. Hi I have a Kobra Rocco (Simonini mini 2 plus) and the torque effect turning me towards the right direction. To perform the low level spirals should I turn clockwise or counterclockwise? Cheers Idiot (Alex)

  12. Hi I'm in process of buying my Paramotor and I narrowed my choice to these two beauties. Both of them have local dealers Both of them are using Simonini Mini 2 plus Both of them (apparently) have a reasonable quality. FB will cost ~ A$1000 (Australian $) more. I'm a fat b@stard 85kg (185 lb) and I'm a very aggressive pilot Please help me choose. Regards Alex
  13. It's not only the hang point which affects the weight shift ability. If you read the review on Footflyer.com you will see that for example Flat Top have a low hang point but it wont give you weight shift ability! It's the structure of paramotor + hang point. That's why I'm confused (Plus I'm an Idiot)
  14. Yes $10,500 How come? Do they give me good weight shift ability?
  15. Mate I'm living in West Auss and Bailey and Parajet Paramotors will cost me like 1.5 time more than any other brands (Except Nirvana which is ridiculously expensive) I'm talking in AU$; Parajet $ 12000 Baily $ 11500 Nirvana Rodeo $ 12000 Nirvana Instinct $ 15000 Kobra Rocco $ 8300 Fly Castelluccio ~$ 8000 In UK it's totally a different story as you don't pay as much tax on sport equipment! Cheers Alex (Idiot)
  16. I guess when you using Youtube for marketing some competitors will use the same weapon against you. And that dude have some serious ground handling issues.
  17. Phil How can I find out for example if "Kobra Rocco" have a high hang point, middle hang or low hang point?
  18. G'day Phil Since you know a bit about kobra can you please let me know if it gives me weight shift ability? How can I know if one paramotor will gives me the weight shift option or not? Cheers Alex (Idiot)
  19. G'day I found it hard to see which paramotors have the weight shift option and which one doesn't. I know about the J bar but that's only for one manufacturer. Fly Castelluccio SMN 100? Kobra Rocco? Flat Top 200? PXP Mini 2 1400? Have any of you tried "Kobra Rocco" or "Fly Castelluccio SMN 100"? Are you happy with quality, cage, after sale support etc? Cheers Alex
