Post up your pics and vids. Had a lovely day there on Saturday, lots of flying in perfect weather and was impressed with the quality of flying and ability of all the pilots. Yes of course there were a few trips and some not perfect take offs and landings but that just happens sometimes. Well done all. Trevor. 265CF70E-F19B-4E61-8F8D-F30B3FEF0B91.MOV

  15. Will anybody be in Membury on Sunday 21st April? I'd like to come down and have a look around, introduce myself, watch some people fly, before probably beginning a course in Membury over the summer.

    Airband Radio in UK

Whilst paragliding in approx. 1996 I always used a trailing antenna, just to get the 5W furthest from my body! But not such a great idea with a prop. strapped to your back! As for minimal range.... It's virtually line of site! People have bounced signals off the moon to get around the curvature of the earth. Many of my Ham friends received QSL cards (confirmation of radio contact) from the old Russian space station and even from the ISS. The range on VHF and UHF can be huge and in the air our signal will be picked up from miles away. I have over 50 QSL cards from Australia when the 11 year cycle is in force!!! Bouncing the signal off the ionosphere.

Thanks for all this info. My frame arrived this week, I needed spacers made to give clearance between the cylinder head and frame but I should have it together within a week. Going to do the break in and then hopefully I'll get a first flight soon after. I'll post up my experiences once I get it going.

I don't think they are needed. I see no change at all with them out. Motor still running good. Just did a rebuild on the carb. The diaphragm was a little stretched after a full year of use, motor starts as easy now as it did when new. Making about 8600-8700 rpms max currently 125 prop. Still fine tuning carb after rebuild, after soft seating and visually watching lo and hi mixture set screws go into fuel chambers and seats, noticed the original reference points from bottomed out have changed by a few degrees. (screws are not pictured where they were before rebuild) So this is affecting my fine tuning a wee bit. Current settings: wx, temp 70f, humidity 78% baro 29.88 Lo 1 and 1/8 out. Hi 7/8 out. Don't really think this motor will make any more power than where I have it set. Belt is tensioned to specs and not slipping. Heat range is cruise 6400rpm 396f- , 1 minute climb at max power 417-430f. Thinking of going from br9hs to a br10hs to see if she'll run cooler temps, not diggin on the 430f. Already know my chinese temp probe won't tolerate any thing higher than 465f.

    Brocken propp.

Could anyone please help me!! I've recently got into the sport. And scrimpt and scrapped my way, to be able to buy my first and hopefully not the last. Paramotor plus trike. Couldn't believe it. Waiting for the write weather to show. So I can be of. Only to eventually get out there, ready to go. Then some branch flew down into the propp. Backing of the end of the propeller. Couldn't believe it. Haven't been able to afford a new one.. So if anyone knows of anyone who's got a spare or maybe a old one thay might just sell it me. Please would you let me know. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks Rob.

    Ohh Shit

Determination got me thru it Cas and i now know thru extensive research, if the need arises again i can get most parts to rebuild in less than 2 weeks, not that i'm looking to do that for a while as it's built better now than when it was new, not sure if it's because it mass produced or bad workmanship, but i think more quality control would stop most manufacturers rogue engine issues IMO .

  26. I am moving from paramotoring to microlight, so am thinking of selling my v3 and nucleon wing. The motor has done 45 hours it has a supair harness and in excellent condition. I am the only owner. I will be at the bore chasers this weekend should anyone wish to view and discuss price. Other extras to be had such as a Thule paramotor carrier. George 07500114829
